Create A Regular Game Night
| Creating a game night is easy, here are some
tips: |
- You need a host. This is one or more people
that will manage the events. It is recommended that the host(s)
be dependable, open minded, patient, and flexible.
- You need a comfortable place. There needs to
be sufficient chairs, tables, good lighting, supplies (pens,
pencils, paper, etc.), and a restroom. The place can be a home
or a public place (churches, community centers, recreation
rooms, etc.)
- Select a regular time. Determine what would
be the most convenient time for the host(s) and other members.
Monday through Friday's try and make it at a time that that give
people a chance to arrive after regular work hours. Weekends
tend to be more flexible.
- Have a variety of games to select from. Ask
the members to bring a couple of their favorite games.
- Have the group bring drinks and snacks, and
supplies (cups, plates, napkins, paper towels, etc.).
- If you are having trouble finding people, you
should consider doing some advertising (local newspapers,
internet, brochures, etc.)
- Have fun!

| Things learned from experience: |
- Building a game club does not typically
happen over night. The group normally builds and develops over
time.
